The Society

The Hungarian Aerosol Society (HAeS) was established by aerosol experts active in Hungary in 1989. Its mission is to advance the research in all branches of aerosol science and technology for the human welfare and environmental protection. This is especially attained by supporting the aerosol scientific research, promoting education at various, mainly university and PhD levels, training and teaching young students and colleagues, stimulating related meetings and publications, spreading information on a multidisciplinary basis among the members, the public and the society, granting the Zsigmondy Award to outstanding scientists, encouraging the cooperation and representing the aerosol science in Hungarian and the HAeS at national and international forums.

The HAeS is member society of the Hungarian Chemical Society.

The board consist of the president and the secretary. The president and secretary represent the HAeS in national and international organisations and forums. In case of their foreseen absence, they can invite other members of the HAeS to replace them occasionally. They are elected by the members in a secret ballot according to the rules of the Hungarian Chemical Society during the general assembly of the HAeS. The general assembly ordinary takes place during the Hungarian Aerosol Conference.

There is no membership fee for the HAeS, but the members are asked to join the Hungarian Chemical Society.

The HAeS organises the series of the Hungarian Aerosol Conference.
